Stay71 acts as a technology platform facilitating bookings between Tenants and Hotel Partners. Refund eligibility is determined by the Hotel Partner's cancellation policy confirmed at the time of booking, and by Stay71's standard platform policy outlined below. By confirming a booking, you agree to these terms.
Stay71 is a portal and technology platform. We are not a hotel operator, property manager, or travel agent. Our role in the refund process is limited to: โ Processing refunds for payments made through the Stay71 platform โ Communicating cancellation requests to Hotel Partners โ Providing administrative support where possible Stay71 cannot compel Hotel Partners to provide refunds beyond their stated cancellation policy. All disputes regarding refunds must ultimately be resolved between the Tenant and the Hotel Partner.
2.1 Cancellations made 15 or more days before the confirmed check-in date: Full refund of the booking amount paid through Stay71, minus any payment processing fees charged by third-party processors (typically 2โ3%). 2.2 Cancellations made 8โ14 days before the confirmed check-in date: 50% refund of the booking amount. The remaining 50% is retained as a cancellation fee and distributed to the Hotel Partner as compensation for lost revenue. 2.3 Cancellations made 1โ7 days before the confirmed check-in date: No refund. The full booking amount is retained and distributed to the Hotel Partner. 2.4 No-shows: If a Tenant fails to check in on the confirmed check-in date without prior cancellation, no refund will be issued. 2.5 Early check-out: If a Tenant checks out before the confirmed check-out date, no refund will be issued for the unused portion of the stay, unless the Hotel Partner agrees otherwise in writing. Note: Individual Hotel Partners may have stricter or more flexible cancellation policies. The policy displayed at the time of booking takes precedence.
3.1 In the rare event that a Hotel Partner cancels a confirmed booking, the Tenant will receive a full refund of all amounts paid through the Stay71 platform. 3.2 Stay71 will endeavour to assist the Tenant in finding alternative accommodation of comparable quality and price, but cannot guarantee availability or equivalent terms. 3.3 Stay71 is not liable for any additional costs incurred by the Tenant as a result of a Hotel Partner cancellation, including but not limited to travel costs, alternative accommodation costs, or loss of earnings.
4.1 To request a cancellation and refund, contact Stay71 via: โ Email: support@stay71.com โ WhatsApp: +971 50 631 9579 Please include your booking reference number (S71-XXXXXXXX), full name, and reason for cancellation. 4.2 Refund requests will be processed within 2 working days of receipt. The actual refund to your account may take 7โ14 working days depending on your bank or payment provider. 4.3 Refunds are issued to the original payment method only. We cannot issue refunds to a different card or account.
The following situations are non-refundable under any circumstances: โ Booking amounts for stays that have already commenced โ No-shows as defined in Section 2.4 โ Late cancellations as defined in Section 2.3 โ Dissatisfaction with the property that was not reported during the stay โ Issues caused by the Tenant's own actions or negligence โ Force majeure events not covered by the Hotel Partner's policy Stay71 strongly recommends that all Tenants obtain appropriate travel or accommodation insurance to cover unforeseen cancellation circumstances.
6.1 If you are dissatisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate your complaint to Stay71 management by emailing legal@stay71.com with full details of your booking and complaint. 6.2 Stay71 will review escalated complaints within 5 working days and provide a final decision. 6.3 If you remain dissatisfied, you may refer your complaint to the relevant consumer protection authority in the UAE, including the Dubai Economy and Tourism consumer protection department or the equivalent authority in your emirate. 6.4 Stay71's liability in any refund dispute is limited to the amount actually paid to Stay71 (i.e., the 15% platform commission). We cannot be held liable for amounts retained by Hotel Partners under their cancellation policies.
7.1 Hotel Partners may change their prices at any time for future bookings. Price changes do not affect confirmed bookings. 7.2 Stay71 is not responsible for any price discrepancies between the time of browsing and the time of booking. The price confirmed at checkout is the binding price for that booking. 7.3 Any amendments to a confirmed booking (change of dates, room type, or number of guests) are subject to availability and the Hotel Partner's agreement. Amendment fees may apply at the Hotel Partner's discretion. Stay71 does not control or guarantee the outcome of amendment requests.
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
